Jet Fan

It is manufactured in two different configurations as axial and radial designs. Electric motors used for ventilation and smoke evacuation are selected as double speed. The bodies of the devices are manufactured using 2 mm thick galvanized sheets.

There are circular mufflers on both sides of the propeller section.

Electric motors have the property to withstand 300 degrees for 120 minutes. The propellers used are made of aluminum material with angle adjustment. Slides are used throughout the entire device for easy intervention to the fan and motor group. Special grooves are used on the air throw side of the jet fans to direct the air further. Thanks to the guiding flaps at the air outlet points of the devices, the air is easily transferred to the desired point.

What Does Jet Fan Do

Jet fans are used simultaneously for normal ventilation function and smoke extraction functions. In cases foreseen in parking ventilation systems, which work with a certain scenario, ventilation works for smoke evacuation when required. Jet fans operating under the guidance of air quality sensors and smoke detectors installed in the parking areas, jet fans start to operate in the first stage due to the deterioration of the indoor air quality, and if any smoke is detected, the fans are activated in the second stage. Jet fans are driven by two speed motors. The high cost of land in big metropolises has made it necessary to build multi-storey buildings. Making the maximum possible floors to the altitude between the foundation and the roof determined by the institutions that give the building control and license, forcing the height of the floors to be used for parking at the minimum level, code losses due to mechanical installations made jet fans necessary in this regard. It allows the air to be directed to certain parts without the need for an air duct in the car parks where ventilation is made with jet fans.

Usage Areas of Jet Fans

Jet fan ventilation systems are used in metro and highway tunnels as well as parking ventilation systems. The use of jet fans in parking lots can be done more effectively and economically without an air duct connection. In addition, the pulling of the air ducts causes level losses in the parking lot ceiling. Jet fans are installed in certain configurations and after paying attention to their effective distances, they are directed to the vertical shaft points of the dirty air. Exhaust air directed to the shafts is discharged from above ground level to the outside environment by means of circular throw axial fans. These devices are also used as smoke evacuation channels. In case of a fire in any part of the parking lot, the devices closest to that point are operated at high speed, allowing the smoke and flame to be thrown out.

It ensures that harmful exhaust gases accumulated in highway and railway tunnels are directed along the ceiling and discharged from the exit point of the tunnel.

Jet fans, which are installed in the distance intervals stipulated by the thrust force, circulate by creating an artificial air flow in the tunnel ceiling.

It is used for the delivery of fresh air to the galleries where work is carried out in the mines and to exhaust harmful gases. It can be used in conjunction with the air duct as well as free throw.

Advantages of Jet Fan Systems

Jet fan systems can operate without the need for an air duct or other installation to transfer air. The project is solved at much more affordable costs than systems with air duct connection in large volumes. Jet fan ventilation systems integrated with automation systems are easily used from control centers.
